VIOLET Clarke celebrated her 90th birthday with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her very first great great grandchild.
Mrs Clarke, who has seven children, 26 grandchildren and more great grandchildren than she can count, became a great great grandmother two weeks ago when her first great great grandchild, baby Oscar, was born just before her birthday.
All five generations of the family got together for a surprise birthday party for Violet at the RSRE Sports and Social Club.
"She had a lovely time. Everyone did. It was so nice to get so many of the family together," said Sally Clarke, her daughter-in-law.
Mrs Clarke, Guarlford's oldest resident, has lived in the village since she got married to local man Ernest Clarke in the 1930s.
Originally from Wales, she had moved to Worcestershire to work as a maid in a country house.
Mr and Mrs Clarke spent the early years of their marriage in the famous Radio Shack near the vicarage in Guarlford, a building that was used by scientists during WWII in connection with the development of radar.
Mrs Clarke has family as far away as Canada and Australia, as well as many closer to home in Worcestershire and Hereford-shire.
