Cheltenham CS 1,
Bretforton II 0
BRETFORTON'S second team failed to capitalise on their good start to the season the previous week in a game of just one goal.
The first half started well with lots of good passing but Sarah Bragg, Sue Sheppard and Kate Williams all missed the target from good positions.
At the other end, player of the match Fiona Jordan pulled off some good saves as Civil Service tried to break down the Bretforton defence.
Lez McKinnon, Marion Icke, Ceri Barber and Bernie Amp-hlett all defended well while also being creative in starting off attacking moves.
The game's only goal came before half-time when the home side converted a well-rehearsed penalty corner routine.
The second half saw more end to end action but Bret-forton didn't get the equaliser they were looking for and left the field disappointed with the result as they felt that they had created just as many chances as their opponents.
However, they will learn from this game ready to face Newent at home on Saturday.
Last weekend's match was sponsored by Cotswold Cov-ing and Artex.
