Pershore II 2, Bloxwich II 1
DESPITE dominating Saturday's game for almost the entire 70 minutes, poor final passes and finishing could have cost Pershore dearly had the visiting team been able to create more chances of their own.
Mark Passmore and Anthony Handley were the strongest threat in the first half and it was no surprise when the latter latched on to a rebound to give the home team the lead after 20 minutes.
This should have opened the floodgates especially with Gary Tucker, Ben Wright and Phil Taylor providing the experience to launch repeated attacks.
The latter stages of the game proved decisive with Pershore converting a short corner after prolonged pressure.
The visitors grabbed a late consolation on an afternoon when the winners will hope for more decisive finishing as the league season progresses.
