CATERING staff at a Worcestershire school have been putting their heart into providing healthy as well as tasty meals for pupils and staff.
And their efforts have been rewarded with an accolade from local health experts. Shire Services at the Chantry High School, Martley, received the Heartbeat Award from South Worcestershire Primary Care Trust (PTC) and Malvern Hills District Council.
The prize is offered to caterers from a wide range of settings - including schools, care homes and staff canteens - who are committed to providing their customers with a healthy environment and healthier food.
Myrte Elbers from South Worcestershire PCT said: "I was pleased to hear how aware and committed the catering staff at Chantry High School are to preparing food healthily, so that dishes contain as little salt, fat and sugar as possible."
