TOM Kenderdine, who runs for Kidderminster and Stourport Athletics Club, added to his county championship gold tally with a commanding win in the North Worcestershire Multi-terrain eight-mile event, held on the Waseley Hills.

Kenderdine scorched home in 50 minutes 47 seconds, slashing four minutes from his previous time on the same course.

The event qualifies as a county championship event, so Kenderdine gained his second gold in seven days, following his victory in the Brambles Trust 10k road race at Stourport Sports Club.

Emma Hornby also had an excellent race, taking the ladies county gold medal in one hour 5-33, a personal best time for the tough, hilly course.
