Trout fishing has seen some changes, and is working well. The Wyre Dell has changed to "catch and kill" only, with the Stella still as "catch and release".

One angler, from Tenbury Wells, took four trout to 3lb 8oz on a zonka, while another man caught the biggest fish of the week, a 9lb 9oz blue trout, using a daddy long legs.

On the coarse scene, the Erics Lake produced four carp to 16lb for an angler using boilies, while three carp to 21lb 8oz were followed by a 38lb 8oz catfish to an angler using boilies and meat.

A Stourbridge man landed five mirror carp to 20lb 2oz and two grass carp to 22lb, using boilies.

On the Gainsborough, a 32lb 8oz catfish fell to halibut pellets, and a 25lb 4oz catfish to pellets.

One angler had a superb session, taking 13 carp to 15lb 8ox and two catfish to 35lb 12oz, all on boilies.

On the Stuarts, there are bream to 9lb and tench to 8lb to be had over a bed of chopped worm.
