AN employee of a Worcester catalogue company failed to finish community work ordered by a court because he wanted to put his old drug ways behind him, Worcester Crown Court was told.
Adam Crisp, 19, was now doing well on a drug treatment and testing order.
His barrister Michael Aspinall said after completing 80 hours of work he stopped going to avoid mixing with former drug associates.
"He had done everything to turn his life around," he added. "This was not wilful disobedience."
Crisp, of Dowles Road, Kidderminster, pleaded guilty to breaching a community punishment order. He was fined £100.
Recorder David Tucker told Crisp he should keep up his good progress. He discharged the work order.
