A WOMAN appeared in court in Kidderminster after failing to display a valid parking ticket in the town.
Karen Keen, of Stoke Heath, Bromsgrove, pleaded guilty at Kidderminster Magistrates Court.
The court heard Keen was in the Pike Mills Car Park in November last year, when a parking attendant spotted she was not displaying a valid ticket.
Acting for Wyre Forest District Council, Beryl Vickers told the court a parking attendant found the time had expired on Keen's ticket. An excess charges notice was put on her car giving her seven days to pay.
Mrs Vickers went on to explain that the £30 excess charge was only paid after court proceedings had begun. Keen was given a six months' conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £191.
