NEW manager Roy Rencher may have taken charge of Swifts but he will have to wait to see his side in action.
He missed this disappointing 1-0 defeat due to holiday commitments which will also keep him away from their next few fixtures.
Chances were rare in a match blighted by a strong wind and the Swifts inability to break down the Swindon Supermarine home defence.
Swindon thought they had opened the scoring after just five minutes when Matt Prattley netted only for the effort to be disallowed for a foul.
But the Supermarine striker did get the opener on 39 minutes. John Shirley mis-controlled a ball in midfield and Prattley ran through from 40-yards before steering his shot beyond Swifts keeper Craig Ladek.
Prattley could have doubled the lead early in the second half but his powerful header flew wide of the target while Steve Davies and Steve Jenkins also had chances for Swindon.
Stourport included three new signings and it was one of these, Ricci Richards, who almost inspired an equaliser.
He came off the bench for the final 10 minutes and set up chances for Nathan Jackson and Richard Burgess only for the strike pair to miss the target.
With Rencher away on a pre-booked holiday, new assistant boss Jake Finlay took charge of team affairs for the match.
