Badsey Rgrs U-8 5, Littleton Jnrs 1

CAPTAIN Aaron Jelfs cracked in an impressive treble as Rangers easily overcame their local rivals.

Tom Benfield opened the scoring with an excellent left footer before Jelfs fired in a hat-trick to leave Badsey in the driving seat.

Matthew Knight made it 5-0 before Ryan Attwood, who was loaned out to the visitors, scored Littleton's late consolation.

Bredon Colts U-13 3,

Evesham Utd B 1

SATURDAY'S fiercely competitive top of the table contest saw United take the lead through a half-volley from Henry Woods after good work from Harrison Cother and Louis Brown.

However, it was 1-1 at half-time when a cross shot from Scott Bunch eluded Leon Ballard in the Evesham goal.

An older and bigger Bredon side put United under strong pressure after the break and two goals in ten minutes from Nick Hill and Tom Spiers left Evesham with a mountain.

They did their best but good efforts from Woods, James Bearcroft, Sam Ford, Elliott Grady and James Coldrick failed to even bring a deserved second goal.

BRYN Tomes opened the first half floodgates with a first minute strike from distance after being set up by Louis Brown.

The visitors levelled instantly from a free-kick but goals from Brown and Elliott Grady soon had United back in charge.

Two goals for the prolific Henry Woods made it 5-1 but two goals in swift succession brought the Cheltenham side back into the game.

However, Woods was the beneficiary of a goalkeeping blunder and 6-3 at half-time left the hosts well on top.

And they stayed that way as they banged in five more and conceded none in an action-packed second period that saw Bearcroft, Woods and Grady all find the net.

Peopleton U-12 8, Alcester 2000 5

A FABULOUS game played in excellent spirit produced a bagful of goals and thrills and spills at both ends.

Peopleton struck the woodwork twice before David Jubb headed them into the lead.

An own goal from a Ross Huntley cross made it 2-0 before goals from player of the match George Hodgetts, Joe Fowles and David Maughan gave the hosts a five-goal cushion.

Alcester replied just before the break and they then scored three more times after the restart to leave the sides separated by a single goal.

Gradually, Peopleton pulled themselves together and two more for Jubb and one for Hodgetts ensured that Alcester's fifth would count for nothing.

Inkberrow Eagles U-10 1,

Badsey Rgrs 6

RANGERS made a great start when Scott Southern and Matty Andrew combined to set up Ryan Dixon for a 25-second opener.

It was 2-0 after five minutes when Andrew netted in style and the same player then took advantage of hesitant defending to make it 3-0.

Substitute Callum Grieve then laid on a fourth for Andrew to complete his hat-trick before newcomer Jacob Phipps was fouled and Grieve smashed in the resulting free-kick.

A Badsey reshuffle allowed Eagles back into the game but good goalkeeping from player of the match Joe Gisbourne kept them out until an opportunist strike gave their hosts a consolation.

However, Rangers completed a great display when Phipps won a free-kick and Grieves again obliged from the set-piece.

Harvington U-9 8, Evesham B 1

AN EXCELLENT team performance brought Harvington a comfortable league win.

The goals came from Reading, who found the net four times, Salter, who netted twice, Chidlow and Georgeovich. Goalkeeper Barnes was also in fine form.

Leigh & Bransford Badgers 1, Evesham Utd Jnrs U-11 2

UNITED made progress in the Mercian League Cup when player of the match Oliver Banning netted the winner.

Sam Goodhall had earlier hauled his side level after the Badgers had opened the scoring. Defender Rhys Giles and goalkeeper Carl Innes were on top form for the winners.

Evesham Utd Robins U-90 4,

Worcester Warriors 0

A PLACE in the next round of the Mercian League Cup was comfortably secured thanks to two goals apiece for Matthew Abbott and Dan Bowles.

Player of the match Liam Williamson was excellent at the back, while goalkeeper Jack Carter didn't have a save to make such was United's dominance.

Alcester 0,

Evesham Utd Jnrs U-10 9

SEVEN second half goals brought an easy win after only Jack Lowe and Kieran Grady were able to net before the break.

Good wing play was the key and player of the match Grady doubled his tally, while Lowe completed a hat-trick. Michael Jennings (2) and Oliver Grove completed the list of scorers.

Evesham Utd Robins U-14 4,

Callowbrook Swifts 1

A COMFORTABLE cup victory was achieved with few alarms despite an injury to Dan Coupe requiring hospital treatment.

Lee Brookes opened the scoring before player of the match Lewis Ridley's free-kick into the top corner made it 2-1 after Swifts had also hit the target.

The display of central midfielders Jake Nightingale and Martin Tomes provided the Robins with the means to attack and Brookes took advantage to grab two more goals and seal a fine win.
