STAFF from Worcestershire's County Council's Waste management took advantage of a star appearance by a television celebrity to highlight their recycling campaign.
Evesham's own impressionist Alistair McGowan treated a full house at Evesham Arts Centre to an audience with his many faces last Friday.
But, before his performance, Alistair paid a visit to the county council's environmentally friendly exhibition vehicle, the recycling bus.
The Mission Impossible Target 75, team working alongside the arts centre, left leaflets inside Target 75 bags on every seat in the auditorium.
The bag contained leaflets with useful tips on how to reduce the amount of waste going to the Hill and Moor landfill site at Throckmorton.
Alistair was also represented with a bag of his own to show what the team is hoping to achieve.
The funnyman fronted last year's Recycle Now campaign and is wholly committed to reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill sites every year.
Cutting down on the amount of household waste is good for the environment and also saves council taxpayers cash by reducing the amount of Landfill Tax that needs to be paid.
Alistair said: "The bags are a really great idea. They've got loads of useful stuff in them."
All proceeds from the sell-out show at the arts centre were divided between Alistair's favourite charity, Sustrans, the UK's leading sustainable transport charity promoting cycling, and the art centre's own Art Association.
