THERE was poor support from members for the August outing, which included a visit to Stapeley Water Gardens in Cheshire. This includes a large garden centre, restaurant and gift shop, and the opportunity to see tropical plants, fish, birds and small mammals.
The trip also visited an antiques and craft centre where leather goods and jewellery were on sale.
The Horse and Jockey has been suggested as a possible venue for the Christmas dinner.
In September, Liz Smith, from Nash, gave a talk entitled "Ewe and You", telling of her charitable scheme for free working holidays for under-privileged children. The children help with the running of the farm, where Mr and Mrs Smith keep sheep.
Flower of the month winners were: Iris Twinn, Heather Williams and Stella Wilcox, the latter also winning the best farm photograph competition.
On October 11 at 7.30pm in Cleobury Mortimer parish hall, Kathleen Boyland will give a talk on "Toy Box".
