A NEW survey has shown that cat-owning people in the over-55 age-bracket, are fun-loving and more likely to keep in touch with their youthful inner selves than their non-cat owning peers.
According to leading health psychologist Dr June McNicholas, older people value their cats as companions, confidantes and a source of meeting other people.
Cats protection provides services for older people wishing to home a cat. The oldest of the UK's feline welfare organisations, the CP homes 60,000 cats every year.
