AN Alcester coffee shop brought art to life with a visit from a local painter.
Artist Bill Bayley (pictured left) set up his easel in Venue Xpresso on Friday, and produced an acrylic painting of Glastonbury Tor, all under the watchful eye of coffee drinkers.
The event was part of a series of visits to the High Street coffee shop from local artists, inviting people to come along and watch them in action.
The next event features Peter Kotka, a professional artist who has toured the United States but lives in Alcester where he also holds art classes.
He will be painting still life on Friday, October 28.
Owner Carol Lane said the cafe was already getting a reputation for artists and they had many more events planned, including an evening class with models.
Venue Xpresso also features displays from local artists, including Alcester artists Betty Cuckson, Sally White, Shirley Walker, and Pete Baughan.
