MUMS appeared to have accepted a decision taken by education bosses in Hereford and Worcester to axe a scheme to provide full time nursery education in Wythall by 1981.
County education chiefs have escaped any backlash, which might have been expected from their decision to axe a scheme to spend £14,000 setting up desperately needed full-time rising fives education in the village.
Hereford and Worcester threw out a plan described by local mothers as "totally inadequate".
The education committee had considered spending cash on providing a qualified teacher, assistants, a play area and outdoor equipment.
Even at the outset it was anticipated the scheme would close the door on the majority of Wythall tiny tots.
Public spending restrictions meant that only 30 youngsters could have benefited.
