MIDFIELD general Martin O'Connor is pushing for a return to help Kidderminster Harriers shake off their home hoodoo.
The veteran player-coach has rested a knee injury over Harriers' last three Conference games as boss Stuart Wat-kiss did not want to rush him back.
But former Birmingham City and Walsall ace O'Connor, 37, has returned to training and his ability in midfield could be crucial on Saturday.
Harriers aim to end a run of three home defeats against Morecambe at Aggborough in an early 1pm kick-off.
O'Connor's fellow midfielder Terry Fleming is also back from suspension to give Harriers a more experienced look after operating with a youthful engine room at the weekend.
Watkiss said: "With due respect to the two lads who played there, Simon Heslop's 18 with just half-a-dozen or so first-team games for us behind him and Laurie Wilson is still very young.
"You don't have to be Einstein to see that we were lacking in experience in that key department.
"Martin's had a couple of training sessions and hopefully he'll be available for the weekend."
The Harriers manager is working overtime on stopping their poor home run and admitted: "You do find it hard to fathom sometimes why we have been so poor at home.
"In the last three or four matches it's more the case that we have been out-fought and out-battled."
