MARK Groves compiled the highest score in the Fossils' 10-year history.

Groves made 145, his second century in as many innings, in the team's 106-run victory against Badsey.

Liz Dean also recorded her best bowling figures for the Fossils of 5-14.

Badsey's openers George Cowley (34) and Westmacott (26) put on 59 in 11 overs.

Supported by Powell (39), the score moved along to 95 from 19 overs.

Liz Dean then came on to bowl and it was not long before wickets started to fall. She finished with 5-14 from five overs, her best bowling for the Fossils.
