WORCESTER Rugby Club's talented under 11s scored 16 tries and did not concede a single one in winning the Rugby Lions tournament.

The squad of 15 players started off against a powerful scrummaging Wolverhampton but soon established quick ball for the backs to prosper.

They triumphed 25-0 with Harry Greenway starting the scoring and debutant Bradley Pogson scoring one of his four tries from a well-drilled penalty move.

Ampthill proved a difficult match but good tackling from Ben Rhodes and George DeCothi denied their speedy players.

Jack O'Sullivan and Chris Plumb scored the tries in a 10-0 success.

Worcester then swept aside Rugby 20-0 with captain William Cusack scoring and Jack Jenkins winning three strikes against the head.

Eddie Harling and George Fairlie dived over to beat Old Northamptonians in their hardest match of the day.

But Worcester did rely on superb defence from Andrew Boyce and Charlie Lawton in the first-half.

James Gunther, who also bagged four tries, was on target along with Charlie Buiskool and George Preece in the final game of the day which was won 15-0.

Worcester have not conceded a try at the Rugby tournament for three years in a row which is a great achievement for a promising team.
