STAR striker Keith Rostill bagged a hat-trick as Alvechurch romped to a 4-1 win at Kimberley Town in the second qualifying round of the FA Vase.
And the Lye Meadow side have been rewarded with a trip to West Midlands League outfit Wellington in the next round.
Rostill took just four minutes to grab the opener against Kimberley and he struck another to add to a Neil Kitching effort before half-time.
The home side, from the Central Midlands League, rallied after the break and reduced the arrears only for Rostill to complete his hat-trick to make sure it was Alvechurch's name in the hat for the first round draw.
And the skipper's match-winning treble was praised by club chairman Peter Eacock.
"It was probably the best football I have seen Keith play," the chairman said. "Both Keith and Brett (Fitzpatrick) are helping director Colin Strong with the team and they are doing an excellent job.
"The morale in the dressing room is as high as I've known it and there is a good feeling throughout the club as we took three of the youth team with us to Kimberley with one of them coming on for the last 15 minutes."
Church should be confident of a result in the next round at Herefordshire outfit Wellington. The team currently lie mid-table in the West Midlands League and needed a penalty shoot-out to dispose of Daventry Town in the last round.
Church turn their attentions to the Polymac Services League Cup on Saturday when Boldmere St Michaels at the visitors (ko 3pm). They return to league action the following Tuesday when an in-form Stourbridge are the visitors to Lye Meadow.
