VISITORS to Droitwich Library will be surprised to see a four-foot tall sculpture of a head adorning its gallery until October 29.
Named 'Eve' the sculpture is the centrepiece of Malvern based artist Caro Sweet's Heads and Bodies exhibition at the library, in Victoria Square.
The exhibition mixes sculpture, drawing and prints and focuses on celebrating the human figure.
Mr Sweet said: "There is something about a big head in the landscape. How we see it and the impact it has on our outlook in life. Somehow it connects us with ourselves and our environment and creates possibilities in our minds."
The exhibition also includes a life-size sculpture of Elvis Presley called 'Icon 1956'.
Mr Sweet said: "My challenge was to capture Elvis' sensitivity as well as his natural charisma as he burst onto the music scene as a young man.
"Understanding his character came through working with the forms of his head and observing his posture."
