A SCARECROW festival held in Feckenham at the weekend has been hailed a complete Victory!.
Handmade scarecrows from the traditional to the surreal lined the streets of the picturesque village ready for scores of visitors.
Maps were handed out to guests to help them find the array of weird and wonderful straw characters.
Event organiser Ian Bellion said: "It was superb. We had lots of visitors and everyone had a good time."
On Sunday, prizes for the best scarecrows were handed out on the village green, followed by a performance from a troupe of scarecrow dancers.
First prize went to Peter and Barbara Masters, of The Square, with their pair of traditional scarecrows.
Joint runners-up were Paul Nicholson, of The Square, for his Nelson character, complete with moving sword (above), and Lew Howe-Bennett, of Coopers Cottage, for his scarecrow Vincent Van Crow.
"People were terrifically inventive," said Mr Bellion.
"It's certainly an event we will consider running again next year.
"The spirit among villagers was great - events like this emphasise the joy of living in a village," he added.
