THE owner of a Studley bridal shop ravaged in a "smash and grab" said she is more determined than ever to make the business a success.
Annette Hogg told the Advertiser that last Wednesday's break-in at The Wedding Centre would not stop trade.
"It was a bit of a shock but we will not let it beat us. We are open as normal," she said.
The High Street shop was broken into at about 4am and £6,500 worth of wedding dresses and accessories stolen. Evening dresses from the shop's Side Impact range were also taken.
"They broke into the shop by crowbarring the door open. The police have called it a smash and grab," said Ms Hogg, who runs the shop with business partner Julie Greenhill.
"However, I think they were disturbed - if they had not have been I think they would have taken a lot more."
She added: "Luckily we do not keep hold of the items that people have ordered, so there will not be brides without their dresses!"
The Wedding Centre opened in Studley in January. It relocated from Evesham Road, Headless Cross after being plagued by flooding.
"This is the first time we have ever had any trouble but it has just made me more determined to succeed."
Studley police are investigating the raid and anyone with information can call PC Joe Poland on 01926 415000.
