STAFF cracked open the bubbly to celebrate the re-launch of Tesco in St Peter's Worcester.
The newly-expanded store will offer customers a wide range of clothing - including Cherokee, Tesco Value and their top range Florence and Fred - electrical and domestic items and fresh fish and meat counters.
As part of yesterday's celebrations, Tesco invited beat manager, Andy Hall and treasurer of St Peter's Youth Opportunities Group, Lynn Giles to accept a £500 cheque for the group, as part of its work to help good causes.
Store manager, Andy Sanderson said: "Our involvement with the group goes someway to fulfilling our commitment to the local people of Worcester. Tesco's core values are about looking after local people, promoting the benefits of healthy living, supporting education and getting involved in the community."
The money will be used to organise some exciting activities for the youngsters, such as a sports day, paint-balling or a ghost walk.
