A NETWORKING event for managers and business owners to entertain customers is to take place at Worcester Cathedral.
Supper after Business will raise money for a £5m fund-raising campaign to develop and sustain voices and music in the Cathedral.
The organist and choristers will welcome guests to the event at a wine reception in The Nave, which will be followed by supper in College Hall.
The special guest speaker for the night will be Sir Digby Jones and there will be a musical finale from Dec Verse.
Sir Jones said: "It is so easy to take the magnificent Cathedral that dominates our city for granted - and think its future is safe in someone else's hands.
"But really, it belongs to each and every one of us who work and live in and around Worcester.
"We are actively seeking support from the local business community for this appeal."
Funding is being sought to replace two very worn out organs, to provide long term support for the choristers and their musical heritage, and finally to install lighting to reveal the treasures within this building.
The Supper after Business event takes place on Friday November 4 from 6.30-10pm and tickets cost £35, which includes food and drink.
For more information call the appeal office on 01905 611002.
