AN optician in Worcester is asking people to donate their old glasses to help people in the third world to see.
Soni & Partners Lens Vision Centre, in St Swithins Street, has joined forces with the charity Vision Aid Overseas for the project. The idea is that on top of giving away old glasses, people will also donate £1 or more to ensure they reach their destination. Glasses and lenses collected will be tested then transported overseas to places like India and Ethiopia.
where a Vision Aid optometrist will carry out eye examinations and provide someone with the right pair of spectacles.
"By supporting our project, people will be helping the world to see."
