YOUNGSTERS in the Wychavon area have been clowning around and learning how to help the environment at the same time.
Playful characters Bozo and Zizi the clowns are touring the primary schools in Wychavon to share tips on recycling. Their 45-minute show aims to teach them, in a fun way, about a range of environmental issues like picking up litter, recycling and minimising waste. The scheme is funded by Wychavon District Council.
Wychavon's Waste Management Officer Mark Edwards said: "This is a scheme which we run each year as it always proves successful. The clowns' visits are a fun way to put over some serious messages which will hopefully stick in the children's minds as lifelong learning."
