STUART Wedge and Richard Jones have signed contracts with Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
Nineteen-year-old Wedge made his Frizzell County Championship debut against Essex in the last game of the 2005 season, returning figures of 5-112.
County head coach, Steve Rhodes, is delighted to secure his services: "We welcome the chance to give Stuart a full year's contract now that he has completed his university studies.
"His performance in the last championship game against Essex shows the skill he possesses and we look forward to seeing much more from him."
Jones is another success story for the Academy. The England Under 19 bowling all-rounder has signed a a 12-month contract with Worcestershire.
Rhodes said: "Richard is a young, exciting fast bowler who has deservedly been selected for the England Under 19 squad.
"We are very pleased that he has decided to further his career with Worcestershire, especially as he is a local lad who has come through the academy system.
"These signings are further proof that the academy is a valuable asset to the club and is providing us with home grown talent."
This season, teenage wicketkeeper Steven Davies has made the breakthrough to the first team.
