THE House of Commons will shortly vote on ID cards again.
There's a lesson from Holland where ID cards were made compulsory from January this year. Some 47,000 citizens (equivalent to nearly 200,000 people in the UK) have already been fined for not carrying the card.
The police have the right to stop anyone and demand to see the card. Do we want to give the police this power?
MARK STARR,
Leigh Sinton.
