THE organisers of the parish plan would like to thank everyone who went to the questionnaire party on September 17. You all helped to make it a success and there are now plenty of welcome volunteers for writing up the sections of the parish plan.
Bernadette Kearney drew the lucky numbers: Adult - 375, youth - 156 (adult £50, youth £20). Do check on your number and if you have the lucky one, ring Fanny on 640745.
The next event is the steering group meeting on Tuesday at 8pm at Old Mill House, Hollow Lane. All are welcome.
Today (Friday) is a coffee morning at the hall from 10am-noon. Part of the Macmillan Cancer Relief World's Biggest Coffee Morning, it's a wonderful fundraiser.
There will be a meeting to re-launch the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme in the hall on Thursday, Ocotber 6, at 7.30pm. Please come and be part of it, as vigilance is so necessary.
On Saturday, October 8, there will be a quiz with a difference in the hall starting at 7.30pm. Teams can be of four or five people, costing £5 per team. Numbers of teams are limited, so please register yours before October 3 by either phoning Jenny Mackie on 632350, Lucy Hill on 632707 or e-mailing Carol at carol.musu@orange.net. A bar has been applied for and it should be a really good evening in aid of hall funds.
