ENTRIES are still being taken for this year's Worcestershire Beacon race to be held next Saturday (October 8), starting at Rose Bank Gardens, off Belle Vue Terrace, Malvern, at 3pm.
One of the organisers John Brook said there had already been a steady stream of entrants, including two sets of twins, but places were still available in this arduous seven-mile event which is not a fun run.
First runners will be due back at Rose Bank Gardens at around 3.40pm after climbing the Worcestershire Beacon. Spectators are welcome with good viewing points at the start/finish, St Ann's Well and the Gold Mine.
Entry forms are available from Brookhire, Spring Lane South, Malvern, (01684) 562941, or up to 2pm on the day at the St John Ambulance station in Portland Road.
