COFFEE drinkers throughout Wyre Forest will be enjoying a mug or two tomorrow as part of a nationwide bid to raise vital funds to fight cancer.
The annual World's Biggest Coffee Morning, promoted by Macmillan Cancer Relief, looks set to receive a big boost from kind-hearted district residents.
Stalwart fund-raiser, Lynn Manville, will be holding a coffee morning at Baxter Church Hall in the centre of Kidderminster from 9.30am to midday, complete with home-made cakes and a tombola.
Mrs Manville, of Cobden Street, Kidderminster, has run coffee mornings for the charity for eight years with help from husband, Steve and children, Alex, 15, Sophie 12 and 10-year-old Bradley.
This year's event is even more poignant for the family, who lost Mr Manville's mother and grandfather to cancer within a week last year.
In Stourport High Street, Specsavers staff will be offering customers coffee and biscuits from 10am to midday, while St John's Social Club, Crowther Street, Kidderminster, will be opening its doors for coffee between midday and 2pm.
Coffee will be served between 8am and midday at the home of Gail Richards at 16 Peartree Close, Kidderminster and Ann and Eric Mole will be getting together with neighbours to help boost funds for Macmillan at 3 Pelham Lodge, Kidderminster, from 10am to midday.
