A 15-year-old Stourport schoolboy has been cleared of rape before the case could be tried.
The teenager was facing trial by jury in February next year but the prosecution offered no evidence at a plea and directions hearing at Worcester Crown Court.
The defendant - too young to be identified - had denied raping the girl on March 20 this year.
Judge Andrew Geddes gave the teenager a not guilty verdict.
