BLAKEDOWN Canoe Polo Club gave a good account of themselves after taking to the water in the Irish Open.
Three teams from the club took part with the A team finishing sixth in class one which was packed with top players from across Europe.
In class two, the B team finished fifth, while the C team clinched runners-up spot, winning every game unitl their finale with Tees Tigers from Hull.
Blakedown's team was made up of Jenny Adams, Sophie Yarwood, Anna Becket, Joel Becket and Prudence Blyth who are all aged 18 or under.
Adams and Blyth have recently returned from representing England in the 2005 European Championships in Madrid.
