PETE Banham raced to victory in round two of the West Midlands Cyclo Cross League, at Clows Top.
The Wyre Forest Cycle Racing Club junior member lead the race for juniors, veterans and women from the start and finished three minutes clear.
The race was promoted by Halesowen C and AC at Lower Moor End Farm.
Banham's win caps a tough season of mountain bike racing. He won the season-long Dragon MTB XC series overall, finishing first junior and fifth overall in the final round at Builth Wells.
Joe Rowe suffered bad luck on the Clows Top course, puncturing twice, but still managed to win the grand veteran category for 15th overall. Ruth Blaker was 42nd and Mick Gray 48th.
In the seniors race, Phil Blacker was third overall, Elliott Dinsdale ninth, Dan Harding 11th and Matt Ashcroft 14th.
Gary Bartram finished the Severn RC 50-mile time trial in two hours 12 minutes 7 seconds, while Karl Davies clocked 2-19-22.
Bewdley rider Kris Doms rode strongly in the Veterans Time Trial Association's National Championships at Princethorpe.
He was third in his age group in 23 minutes nine seconds, and 10th overall in the 100-rider field.
Dave Wood rode well in VTTA 25-mile time trial at Monmouth, recording 57-14 to win his age group.
During the previous week he produced a personal best time on the 10-mile course at Severn Stoke in the VC Sevale's last club event of the year, finishing in 23-27.
