Kidderminster Golf Club

KIDDERMINSTER Golf Club's awesome foursome clubbed together to clinch the Worceste-rshire Ladies County Team championships.

Lesley Fox, Anna Rock, Sarah Nicklin and Karen Greenfield triumphed in the event at Kingsnorton to win the trophy for the first time.

With all of the scores added together, Fox shot 77, Rock went round in 85 and Greenfield carded 81, but it was a brilliant two-under-par 72 from Nicklin that clinched it for Kidderminster.

"It was a real team effort, but Sarah won it for us," said Greenfield.

Jill Yates was the winner of the Ladies section Veterans Cup, by just one point form Yvonne Foley.

Full result: Silver Division - Yates 70 nett, Foley 71, Sally Moxon 77; Bronze Division One - Ann Needham 73, Ann Billingham 74, June Blades 75; Bronze Division Two - Carol West 71, Di Cope 76, Eve Owen 77.
