BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester has confirmed the new roles for popular local DJs Dave 'Bradders' Bradley and Nathan Turvey.

Yesterday's Worcester News revealed the duo would be moved from their afternoon slots - Bradders' Afternoon Show and Nathan Turvey's Drivetime programme.

The BBC today said Nathan Turvey will work on a new BBC local television project and will continue to present the Saturday Breakfast Show.

As reported yesterday, Dave Bradley will head plans to enhance sports coverage at the station.

No date has yet been set for the changes and both will continue in their present roles for the time being.

James Coghill, managing editor of the station, said: "It's no secret that Dave Bradley is a sports nut and a popular part of match days at Worcester Rugby Club.

"His understanding of a wide range of sports, coupled with his extensive local knowledge and contacts, will be invaluable as we bolster our sports coverage.

"Dave will be the voice of sport at breakfast time, presenting our bulletins and offering opinion and comment in other parts of the programme, from reporting stories behind the headlines to coverage of issues at grassroots level."

Nathan Turvey added: "I'm looking forward to being part of the local television project.

"It's a great opportunity to be at the beginning of something big, and I'm looking forward to making films about the people of Herefordshire and Worcestershire."

The project is a nine-month scheme to send local television news - via digital satellite and on broadband - to different regions of the West Midlands.

Mr Coghill said the experience Nathan had gained on the Drivetime show would be a huge benefit.
