A MAN suffered a broken cheek-bone when he was attacked in Stourport.
Police are appealing for information about the attack, which happened between 11.50pm on Saturday, September 17 and 12.30am on Sunday, September 18.
The victim was walking home along Gilgal when he heard a male voice call him from behind. He was then punched in the face and fell against a nearby window.
The attacker hit him several more times before running off to join a second man on a bicycle.
The offender was described as white, around 20, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 7ins tall with a skinny build.
He had brown curly hair and a small strand of hair from the nape of his neck down to his shoulders.
The man on the bike was believed to have been white and around the same age.
DC Peter Isanga, of Wyre Forest CID, said: "This was a vicious assault which left the victim with a broken cheekbone and, as yet, no motive for the attack has been established."
He added: "We are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything in the Gilgal area at around midnight on Saturday night to give us a call.
"We are also keen to speak to anyone who can help us identify the offender."
