A CHILDREN'S choir from Africa performed to an audience at the Vale of Evesham Christian Centre to help raise funds to improve conditions in Africa.
The Pearl of Africa Children's Choir visited Evesham for the fourth time presenting audiences with African music and songs accompanied by instruments and traditional dances.
The choir from Kampala and Kamuzinda Children's village in Uganda, East Africa and comprised of 20 orphaned children or once destitute children ranging in age from seven to 17.
Co-ordinator for the Vale of Evesham Christian Centre Martyn Ricketts said: "The choir's performance was wonderful.
"This is the fourth time we've invited the choir here and I think there performance on Saturday was the best by far."
The Pearl of Africa children's choir raised about £600 with their performance on Saturday, September 24 at 7pm to help improve two schools in Kampala and the children's village in Kamuzinda.
Youths belonging to the Christian Centre held a special service for the choir on Sunday, September 25 at Bewdley Street, Evesham raising £120.
