A NEW season of top quality concerts is lined up in the latest Cheltenham Orchestral Series.
The Town Hall Series of 11 concerts is headed and launched on Friday, October 21, this time by the Philharmonia Orchestra, which is itself celebrating its diamond year.
There will also be musicians from a dozen different countries and famous conductors and soloists in a programme which has a Russian flavour, with works featured by Borodin, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev, Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky.
Masterpieces by Haydn and Mozart, Mendelssohn and Brahms, Debussy and Dvorak will also be tackled by the talented musicians lined up - the Orchestra of St John's, the London Mozart Players, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
