A NEW free rural information service for professionals working in the land-based sector promises to cut important issues down to the essentials and tell it straight, saving subscribers hours of time searching the internet for up-to-date, accurate and unbiased information.
RuSource is the result of a unique collaboration between the Arthur Rank Centre, the churches' focus for rural areas, based at Stoneleigh and rural regeneration company Rural Solutions.
Aimed at everyone working in the countryside or with rural people, it will provide free weekly e-news bulletins, containing short briefings on rural issues.
The project has evolved from an ARC initiative called Farming Information for Rural Ministry which many rural clergy and others supporting farmers have been turning to for industry information since 2004 and it has gradually increased its subject area.
