INNER WHEEL: The club has enjoyed a great curry lunch again at Barbara and Allan's home. To raise money for St Richard's and the Multiple Sclerosis society. Other activities included an afternoon tea party with loads of strawberries and sunshine, and a walk in Chipping Campden. More events are planned for the next few months, all under the leadership of president Pam Sermon.
ART SOCIETY: The exhibition and sale of paintings at the Town Hall over the heritage weekend was successful; 80 paintings were on show and more than 250 visitors attended.
At this month's meeting, members and guests enjoyed an evening with Campden artist Sean Bolan, who explained his watercolour painting techniques and told anecdotes from his experiences as a leading commission artist.
Next month's meeting will be oil painting demonstration by Rob Waring. Evesham Art Society meets at the Friends Meeting House, Cowl Street, 7.15 for 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of each month. Non-members welcome; entrance £2.
U3A: The next meeting of the Evesham branch of the University of the Third Age will be held next Thursday in the Public Hall at 2pm.
The speaker will be Adrian Summers, whose talk is about the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.
Members of the public will be welcome and it will be possible to join U3A during the meeting.
