CHILDREN who have been reading over the summer holidays will be rewarded with medals and certificates.
More than 60 children from schools around the vale visited the Pershore library this summer to take part in the Reading Voyage.
The reading challenge, is a nation wide initiative, which aims at encouraging children to read six books over the summer holidays.
Senior library assistant at Pershore Jenny Brumhead said: "The reading voyage has been a great success this year with children coming in reading new books over the summer period. To reward each child for their hard work over the holiday every child will receive a certificate and a medal on Monday."
The award ceremony takes place on Monday, October 3 at 4pm at the Pershore library on Church Street.
