POLICE are appealing for witnesses after road signs were thrown on to a busy Kidderminster railway line.
The two signs, which belong to Laser Civil Engineering in Worcester, were believed to have been thrown from Offmore Bridge in Chester Road between 7pm last Thursday and 7am the following day.
A police spokesman said: "Clearly, it is potentially very dangerous to throw anything on to a railway line. Fortunately, the signs were spotted and removed but the consequences could have been very serious indeed."
Witnesses or anyone with information should call Kidderminster police on 08457 444888.
