BROMSGROVE is set for a classical musical treat when one of the world's leading ensembles play at the Artrix on Wednesday, October 5.
A quartet from the world renowned London Sinfonietta start their national tour at the Artrix.
The Sinfonietta will play composer Messiaen's moving piece 'Quartet for the End of Time'.
The perfomance is one of the highlights of Bromsgrove Concerts' winter programme - the first at the Artrix.
It is also one of the most high profile performances in the history of the group.
Concerts' spokesperson Jim Croft said: "This is a huge coup for Bromsgrove Concerts'.
"Normally we wouldn't be able to attract a group as gifted as London Sinfonietta, but moving to the Artrix has given everyone a boost."
The performance will be introduced by composer Fraiser Trainer and will also include his 'Motion Pictures' as well as Debussy's 'Cello Sonata' and Lutoslawski's 'Dance Preludes'.
Tickets for the London Sinfonietta cost £10, to book call the box-office on 01527 577330.
