PASSENGERS had to be helped on to a replacement bus after the Number 44 service crash-ed into a bus shelter in Worcester yesterday aft-ernoon.
None of those on board - which included school pupils and students - were injured, according to spokesman for the bus operators First, David Maciejewski.
"But the driver was very embarrassed," he added.
The accident happened when a corner of the Number 44 caught the front of the new bus shelter as it travelled into Worcester on the London Road.
"I understand the new shelter has been an issue and drivers have complained about it being so close to the kerb," said Mr Maciejewski.
"All passengers were immediately transferred onto a replacement bus, the damaged bus was returned to the depot, and the city council has been informed about the damage to its bus shelter."
