Drakes Broughton U-12 2,

Peopleton 1

TWO evenly matched sides fought out a tight contest with Peopleton showing tremendous spirit to mount a comeback after trailing by two goals at half-time.

Joe Fowles and George Hodgetts failed to make the most of first half chances and Drakes led 2-0 at the break.

It was a different story after the restart with Peopleton getting the better of their local rivals but again chances went begging.

Only a solid show at the back prevented Drakes securing the win and they were relieved to hear the final whistle after Jake Bartlett had halved the arrears following good work from Hodgetts. Matthew Hancock was named Peop-leton's player of the match.

Bredon Bullets 1,

Evesham Utd Girls U-11 5, Perdiswell & Worcester 1

TWO more goals from the prolific Ella Parry-Reece helped Evesham record a comfortable success.

Zoe Mabbot and Danielle Monks were also on target in a far from one-sided match in which the visitors impressed down the flanks and only solid defending prevented them adding to their solitary reply.

While the forwards take the scoring plaudits, Lucy Rogers, Jaspreet Bassi and Daniella Molloy were more than a match after an impressive display at the back.

Sam Ford provided the cross for Grady's early opener and a fine run and finish then saw the striker double his tally.

Louis Brown made it 3-0 before a double from James Bearcroft and one from regular goal provider Sam Ford made it 6-0 at the break.

Goalkeeper Leon Ballard's only alarm saw a speculative shot from distance hit the crossbar but normal service was resumed as Woods finally found the net, while Grady and Bearcroft made it a trio of treble toppers.

Evesham Utd U-12 B 0,

Oldbury Park Tigers 0

A BRILLIANT save from the Oldbury goalkeeper denied Dan Wilcox from the penalty spot as Evesham were held to a goalless draw.

However, the hosts were grateful to the woodwork in the first half when Tom Bennett produced some fine stops and Josh Woods and Sam Penfold worked hard to keep the Tigers at bay.

Angus Steele was the player tripped in the penalty area but the deadlock remained and it was the visitors who had the best of the second half chances but James Brown and Taylor Robinson rescued United.

Bennett produced an acrobatic save to keep out a cheeky chip and at the other end player of the match Joe Iorns went close to scoring before a late shot from distance from Nathan Jelfs almost secured an Evesham victory.

Littleton Jnrs U-12 6, Welford 2

SATURDAY'S Ambassador League clash was all but over at half-time by which time Littleton had banged in five goals without reply.

However, it was 15 minutes before the floodgates opened when Gareth Adams scored his first goal for the club.

He later grabbed a second to add to further goals from David Stringer, Will Russell and own goal as the hosts went in comfortably ahead before the break.

Welford, though, scored either side of the whistle through Alex Brown but a late strike from Nathan Brain sealed an emphatic Littleton triumph.
