CASH to the value of £1,000 is being made available to teams in Evesham in a new competition run and organised by Leisure Leagues, the world's largest providers of small-sided football.
The 'grand' prize will be awarded to the winning team that participates in the new league to be played on the Astroturf at Evesham High School on Sunday afternoons.
Matches take place between 3 and 5pm with 36 teams taking part in a competition open to six-a-side teams of any standard who want to play for fun or think they may have a chance to win the biggest prize in small-sided football lea-gues.
The league will be refereed by qualified officials, all equipment is provided and league information will appear weekly on the Leisure Leagues website.
A leading sports chain will be co-sponsoring the competition and will also be putting up a number of prizes and offers.
Potential teams, which can be made up of groups of friends, from local club sides, work colleagues or just mates from the pub, will play grading games on the first afternoon.
The league is set to start at the end of next month and teams who telephone Leisure Leagues on 0845 230 2340 will receive a free colour information pack or log on to www.leisurelea-gues.net
