DROITWICH'S adventure in the WISE Communities UK Twenty/20 Cup was ended at the semi-final stage by Welwyn Garden City.
Spa could not progress past the national competition's semi-finals at Hampshire's Rosebowl ground.
Droitwich had allowed Welwyn Garden City, who went onto beat Finchley in the final, to make 137 and were unable to reply effectively with the bat.
Representing Wales, the west, north and Midlands Droitwich went into the tournament in confident mood after winning county and regional sections to make the competition's final day.
Captain Steven Walsh won the toss and put City into bat. Bowler Mike Rogers made an early breakthrough when he had Ben Frazer caught for eight by Walsh.
Gareth Thomas removed James (20), but Simon White (71 not out) took the fight to Droitwich.
Thomas removed Tyler (1) and Tucker (5) as Droitwich fought on.
However, Tony Skeggs (18) made sure City made 137-5.
Droitwich's reply made a stuttering start when Gary Cartwright was bowled for two, while Ian Cottrill hit14, before he was run out.
Damon Gariff (1) and Steve Walsh (8) were cheaply removed, as Spa slipped to 30-4, but Andrew Fletcher's 34 not out slowed Droitwich's decline.
Phil Thomas, batting with a shoulder injury, was out for a duck and Rogers bowled for nine.
Dan Garbett hit four runs as Spa were dismissed for 80 in the 17th over.
