WITH regard to the traffic island at the approach to the following establishments - The Artrix, David Lloyd Leisure, Brewsters Premier Travel Inn/The Guild, NEW College etc - this has been covered in weeds since its creation.
Is it not possible that between all of them, as well as Bromsgrove District Council and Worcestershire County Council, they could get this island landscaped in some way?
The other islands on the by-pass have been sponsored/adopted by nearby local companies and enhance the area, whereas the only impression you get when approaching your business and the town from the north is that of neglect and apathy.
If the upkeep of turf and shrubs/bedding plants is too costly then perhaps block paving/stone edging with a central sculpture, as suggested by an acquaintance, would incur less ongoing expense.
Maybe this is a project for the NEW College students to undertake?
Surely the county council and the district council, jointly with the businesses located nearby can do something to improve this eyesore on our main approach from the motorway.
