CONGRATULATIONS to Cathy Simcock and to all those responsible for the recent
Wartime Nostalgia Day at Catshill Village Hall.
The hall itself looked the part. It was very well organised and set out. The exhibits and outside displays were easy to view and interesting. The costumed re-enactors really entered into the spirit of the day making it great fun.
We heard many memories being re-called as we walked round, contributing to the friendly and happy atmosphere. The wartime recipe cakes were excellent, provided by the WI, and the NAAFI staff worked extremely hard serving the many visitors.
It must have taken a great deal of work, but it was well worth it.
Well done to all.
